Special Announcement!
Order your kilt by December 15th for delivery Christmas Delivery!
This is our custom kilt, machine washable and sturdy enough for daily wear, this particular example is going to be a steam punk kilt, thus the bottom edge isn't finished and is left to unravel an inch along the entire bottom for a rough look. It also has over-sized belt loops to accommodate a military-style web belt (not included,) the size and number of belt loops is one of the options available.
As with more traditional kilts this is a wraparound garment that can lay completely flat, it wraps around the wearer and held in place with a snap at the inner edge of the front apron and Velcro at the outer edge, and then can be secured with the belt of your choice. Try and be as specific as you can about the color you'd like used, we can't guarantee we can find the exact color you'd like, but we'll get as close as we can. If you find a color online please send us a link that we can try and match.
Made of canvass, this is a tough garment that's sewn to last, including the edges of the pleats (A & B below) and the pleats are sewn down (E Below) and anchored at the widest part of the rump (D Below). This presents a smooth look and helps hold the shape of the pleats no matter how hard you're playing. We wanted a rough edge along the bottom, but have sewn in a stop to prevent the material from unraveling past that point. Traditionally the left edge of the apron is left rough and the bottom edge is finished. These and other details are set to your requirements during the ordering process.

Fitting a kilt is as easy or as hard as the measurements make it, so the first thing to remember is to have someone help you measure! All measurements need to be straight, if you look below you'll see that things ride up and down with wear and arranging a straight line measurement by yourself is not easy! Use a sewing tape to measure, don't try to use a steel tape measure or strings or anything like that, and remember, the tape must be parallel with the floor measuring the waist and rump.
- Measurement A: The waist measured across the bellybutton.
- Measurement B: The widest part of your rump.
- Line C is how far the kilt will hang down, it is your knee line and measure easily below.
- Measurement D: Kneel down, knees on the floor and back straight, no leaning back onto your heels, and have someone measure you from your bellybutton down to the floor, if you try and do this measurement yourself you'll bend over to read the tape and throw it off.
- Measurement E: Measure, from the back, the line from your waist measurement (A) to the rump measurement (B).

The base price for the kilt is $100, provided that your fabric selection is $7.00 a yard. Local customers (The Boise, Idaho area) can make arrangements for payment plans, fittings and fabric selections. Contact Us to get things rolling!
